We are calling in stories for season seven of The Weekly Service.
We believe that stories are powerful. They can help us understand an negotiate the complex times we live in. By connecting and sharing our wisdom we are able to dream up future ways of being. We want to have human conversations about all facets of life: the economy, social structures, the body, craft, work and purpose, relationships, identity & gender, belonging, politics, humour, sciences, mind & soul, ethics & faith, ecology, technology... we could go on.
Along with diverse topics, we seek diverse voices. The voice is what makes the story real and brings context to the ideas. Hearing from diverse voices strengthens the ecology of ideas around us and broadens our awareness.
What we're trying to say is that we are open, open to whoever you are and whatever you want to share. We are all ears.
Submit a story through this form.
Story submissions close at the end of Friday 10 August 2018.
The services will run on Saturday mornings from 8 September 2018 to 24 November 2018. We will be in touch in mid August to let you know whether we can program your story this season.
We program stories based on the themes that arise through consultation at the Community Tune-In event, and balance this with an eye for diversity and divergence.
If you can't make it to the Community Tune-In, but there's something you'd like to hear discussed this season, you can use this form to suggest a topic.
Thanks for investing in this community, we can’t wait to hear from you!
